DATE NIGHT: SWEATERS & BLACK DENIM
Now, is it just me or has it been cold COLD?!
This year I think many babes are changing things up in terms of what outfits they might be considering for V-Day due to the record breaking winter temperatures. I myself (huge lover of dresses and skirts), have had to bundle up by wearing pants for a majority of the outings I’ve been on. Not to fret though because in today’s post I’m showing you babes how to rock black denim with three different sweaters to ensure three things: 1) you’re staying warm despite recording breaking temperature lows, 2) getting more bang for your buck, & 3) you are the second appetizer on the menu.
FOR THE WOMAN TRYING TO STAY WARM
The moment I saw this poncho on the rack at Gordmans, I just had to have it. It screams comfort all the while being very feminine in appearance. The color is perfect for any occasion especially date night. Why? Well it keeps the attention on you without your clothes being an unwelcome distraction. To be honest, I wouldn’t even mind the cold sticking around a little bit longer because I love this poncho THAT much.
FOR THE WOMAN TRYING TO BE DRESSY
For the woman trying to be dressy, this is the perfect light sweater for you. It speaks to the dressy that usually comes along with Valentine’s Day with the open shoulders and 3/4 inch bell sleeves. With the chain bag to add a necessary accent to the look (also from Gordmans), date night is made oh so easy.
FOR THE WOMAN TRYING TO KEEP THINGS CASUAL
I love this top so much because it’s more than just a date night top in my opinion. It’s very versatile. I can picture it under a bikini top in the summertime or paired with distressed light denim and sandals. However, in this case I paired the top with same pair of denim from Gordmans, this top screams comfort. With a black biker jacket, you’d be ready to take on the cold and your Valentine’s Day date night.
After snagging all these great tops and the denim from Gordmans with great success, I’ll definitely be back.
Hoping that all you babes have a wonderful Valentine’s Day spent with someone you love.
