the fancy pants
You know who we’re referring to…that friend who orders the newest, swankiest sounding, over the top and expensive drink on the menu, yes that friend – this marg is for them.
- 1/2 cup blanco tequila
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup simple syrup
- 4 slices cucumber
- 4 slices jalapeno
- Salt for glass rims
To make this flavor-packed margarita all you’ve got to do is combine these tasty ingredients into a pitcher. Next, let the mixture marinate by chilling it in the fridge for an hour or more, and finish by pouring into some salt rimmed bougie glasses you picked up at Gordmans. Pinkies up!
basic is boss
It can’t be a party without the classic – this is National Margarita Day after all, so here’s the original for which we clink our glasses to.
- 2 oz. blanco tequila
- 1 oz. Cointreau or your fav orange liquor
- 1 oz. lime juice
Shake everything up in a shake-shake shaker with ice, strain into a salt rimmed glass and enjoy!
Party goers still going strong on their new year’s rez, or just living a more health conscious lifestyle are going to love this Keto friendly, lo-cal margarita!
- 3 cups ice
- 2 oz. tequila
- 1 oz. lime juice
- 2 ½ teaspoons natural sweetener
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt
- 2 lime wedges
- 2 oz. orange flavored sparkling water
For this recipe, your main substitutions will be trading orange liquor for flavor infused sparkling water and adding in natural sweetener.
Mix tequila, lime juice, and sweetener in a shaker with ice, pour into salt rimmed glasses, and top off with that bubbly orange flavored sparkling water and a lime wedge.
frozen mock margs
If those taste buds don’t tickle for tequila, don’t fret! We’ve even found the perfect margarita for your spirit-free party peeps!
- 1/2 can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
- 1/2 can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3 cups crushed ice
- Lime wedges
- Margarita salt
- 1/2 bottle club soda, chilled
This one requires a bit more prep than the rest, so hold off on the party shots until the mock margs are made!
Mix your lemon and limeade concentrate, powdered sugar and ice into the blender. If you aren’t serving immediately, pop it into the freezer to firm up. But note this will require a 30 minute thaw before serving. Now add in your club soda until the mixture becomes slushy and pour into salt rimmed glasses topped with a lime wedge and it’s time for all the tasty without getting wastey.
Those asking for seconds will be in luck as you will have enough ingredients leftover to make another batch!
Now stocked with your guest approved recipes, the day is yours! Cheers to you for being the hostess with the mostess marg choices!
