This summer feels like the summer of 10,000 weddings. I have 9+ through September! I guess turning 25, I’m at the age where many of my friends are settling down (not me- haha). With weddings comes bridal showers, bachelorette parties and rehearsal dinners. All of which are fun, but you may struggle with what to wear.
The first rehearsal dinner I have is in three weeks and I was quickly running out of time to find an appropriate getup. Rehearsal dinner attire definitely depends on the venue, the time and the number of people attending. Here’s my rule of thumb for summer weddings:
Evening dinner, 20+ people, formal entree (like a chicken or steak): Colored dress, heels or wedges, refrain from black or white (a lot of people think black is okay, but in the summer, I’m highly against it). Lunch time, 20+/- people: Colored ROMPER or dress, flats or wedges, still refrain from black or white.
I found this adorable floral romper at Gordmans and I couldn’t have been more excited! The rehearsal lunch is in Texas (#hot) at 11ish on a Saturday, with a Sunday morning wedding the next day. The romper has the perfect casual but dressy feel. I paired it with the sandals, necklace and sunglasses, all also from Gordmans.
With nine weddings, I have to be a little more budget conscious, but if you know me, you know I want to wear something new/different to every shower, bachelorette and rehearsal dinner! This romper can not only be worn to the rehearsal lunch in McKinney, but to a bachelorette party lunch before going out later that night or a bridal shower – this is totally acceptable shower attire! Think of Gordmans when you’re shopping for your perfect summer wedding attire and don’t want to break your budget!
Have a great week, friends! Cheers to it being 80 degrees in Nebraska ?
